Melinda has an extensive background in public-facing roles in the higher education, nonprofit and corporate sectors. Currently, she serves as Director of Alumni Relations at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. In this role, she oversees engagement strategies and events for alumni and friends of the Medical School, Graduate School, and School of Health Professions.

 

Previously, she served as Senior Director of Alumni Relations at the University of Texas at Dallas where she worked for nearly 10 years. Her tenure there included the planning, construction and public dedication of the Davidson-Gundy Alumni Center.

 

Prior to UTD, she was Donor Services Manager at Communities Foundation of Texas, which is the largest community foundation in the state (by assets), and one of the largest in the nation. Her role included fundraising responsibilities as well as management of multimillion-dollar funds for emergency relief, agency support, scholarships, and other designated purposes. Earlier in her career, Melinda lived in New York City and worked as a concierge with Continental Guest Services. She began her career as a Marketing Associate with the global architecture firm, RMJM Hillier.

Melinda attended the University of Texas at Austin, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts.
